Fall School Prep Program "The LAB"

School Prep Program (“The Lab”)
Program Dates: August 19 – October 12, 2025
Location: Griffin Elite Sports & Wellness

Program Overview

The School Prep Program—also known as “The Lab”—is Hustle Basketball’s premier fall development program, designed specifically to prepare 3rd–9th grade student-athletes for the upcoming school season. Over eight weeks, players will participate in structured training, league games, and a final combine showcase focused on measurable improvement, effort, and coachability.

Program Features

Training & Development (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

• Two 90-minute training sessions per week (separated by grade: 3rd–5th and 6th–9th)

• Curriculum includes six skill stations, live scrimmage, and behavioral wrap-up

• Led by Hustle’s Elite trainers with a focus on individual and team concepts

Strength & Conditioning (Wednesdays)

• Speed, agility, and strength development

• Sessions led by Hustle Basketball speed, strength and agility staff

• Optional participation, estimated at $10 per session

League Play (Sundays)

• Eight organized games over the course of the program

• Teams formed by grade, mixed by skill level for competitive balance

• Games officiated by high school-certified referees

Combine Showcase

• Held toward the end of the program

• Includes 5v5 competition, skill and athletic testing, and measurable evaluations

• Local school coaches will be invited to attend

• Results will be published and shared with families and programs

Additional Details

• Players will receive a Hustle training t-shirt (theirs to keep)

• Interlock reversible uniforms will be issued and returned at the end of the program

• Participants will receive a binder for notes, evaluation feedback, and tracking behavioral growth and coachability

• No AAU conflicts—this program is designed to be the primary focus during the fall preseason

Designed for Serious Athletes

This program is specifically built to prepare athletes for school tryouts and the demands of higher-level basketball. It emphasizes effort, consistency, skill development, and the intangible qualities that coaches look for in a student-athlete. For elite players seeking more—this is the foundation. Players are also encouraged to take personal responsibility for individual improvement outside of program hours.
